Continuing our annual tradition, FRW would like to invite Guides, Scouts and their families
for a day of planting native trees and shrubs in Rouge Park.

Friends of the Rouge Watershed

Scouts and Guides Family Planting Day

Date : Saturday, April 28, 2012
Time : April 28th draft schedule
Check in :   Registration Table

  9:30 am - earliest meeting time at the restoration site
10:00 am - official kickoff with information about the area and a planting demonstration
12:00 noon - Lunch break **
  1:00 pm - Interpretive hike focusing on local wildlife and restoration in the Rouge
  2:30 pm - Thank you and departure

** Scouts are responsible for their own ("litter-less") lunches which can be organized individually or by troup.
Location : Planting will be at Bob Hunter Memorial Park North
7273 - 14th Avenue, Markham
Meet in the parking area designated
ON THE MAP.
Other Information : Leaders, please RSVP with group numbers to Contact below.
Bring a "litter-less" lunch. (Any garbage must be packed out).
You should bring :   Youth in identifying uniform.
Please wear season-appropriate clothing and hard-soled shoes.
Rubber boots and dress for the weather - (layers and rain gear are important)
Bring sunscreen and bug spray.
Dress for the weather and working in the field.

Even if you only have 1 hour, it would be well spent!
