CAMPING - OUR RETAIL SERVICES

The Country Store

Our Country Store is located at the Infirmary dock, to the left of the main waterfront. The store will supply all of your camp needs, including non-perishable foods, fresh vegetables, fresh fruit, frozen meats, sandwich meats, milk, juices, bread, baked goods, ice, souvenirs, naphtha, small propane cylinders and other miscellaneous supplies. If we do not stock the item you are after, please, let us know and we may be able to purchase it on our town run, which takes place approximately every second day. Camp charge accounts may be used in the store up until 12:00 p.m. on Fridays. Cash only will be accepted on Friday afternoons. (Credit cards are not accepted.) Note: Cigarettes are no longer sold at the Camp.

All orders for the next day must be placed by no later than 4:30 P.M. and they will be available for pick up by 3:00 P.M. the next day.

The Trading Post

The Trading Post is located at the Hub on the lower level next to the pop machine. The TP carries a line of souvenirs, crests, patches, pins, candy bars, chips, ice cream and fruit juices. 

The Trading Post is open late on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday evenings.

The Snack Shack

The Snack Shack is located at the picnic area near the Main Dock and is open from 7:00 a.m. onward on Saturdays only. The Snack Shack serves coffee, tea, juices, pop, hot dogs, camp crests, t-shirts, sweatshirts and other souvenirs - CASH ONLY.

Pop Machines

Pop machines are located outside the Country Store, the Trading Post and the Snack Shack. They accept Loonies and Twonies ($1.00 and $200 Canadian coins) or Canadian quarters only. Change can be obtained inside the Trading Post, the Administration office (beside the Country Store) or the Snack Shack (on Saturdays only.)

OUR ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES

Provision of equipment and transportation is the responsibility of the Camp Administrator and staff. Enquiries and requests for these services should be directed to the Camp Office.

Incoming Mail

Our American guests should be advised that international postal service takes increased time and letters to H.S.R. must be mailed promptly if they are to arrive while your Troop is still in camp. Parents and others writing to campers should show the Group Number and the name of the campsite to assist in delivering mail.

Outgoing Mail

A mail box is located at the entrance to the Country Store and mail may also be dropped at the Administration office. Canadian stamps are available at the Administration Office.

Lost and Found

All articles lost or found at camp are turned in to, or registered with, the Administrator at the Camp Office. Attempts will be made to find owners of found equipment. Unclaimed equipment or property will be held at the Council office in Toronto until the end of September and then donated to local agencies. Care should be taken to protect valuables. We will not be responsible for lost or misplaced equipment or personal property.
 

OUR RENTAL SERVICES
Outboard Motor Rentals (One per Group)

Six 6 h.p. motors and boats are available for rental when booked in advance (on a first come-first served basis.) Gas is available for purchase from the Administration Office.
